These are some of the newest hatchlings from Ms. Julies Orpingtons. These are four of six eggs that developed. One chick died after day 14 and a second chick died after pipping and zipping for a short time. This was my first ever attempt to incubate and hatch eggs in a bator. I had to choose the hardest breed to try that with. Needless to say I am estatic with the results. This now gives me a new gene pool to add to my existing chicks. These are some spunky little buggars. I like to think of them as "The Four Amigos".
This little chick had a tough time hatching for several hours when it did not get a clean zip. Finally had to help it to save it. Spunky little rascal and is the survivor.
