Being nice out today, I had the baby chicks out in the yard with my grand daughters 9years old and 13 months. Because of the 13 month old, I had put my dogs in the kennel. They jump up and knock her down. After about an hour of watching them, I went into the barn to bring some yunger chicks out. Just as I was coming out the door, I heard a dog start barking and my dogs went crazy. Then the owner of the dog yells, look out he bites as the dogclears my six foot fence. He is headed right for the kids. Other neighbors have had a problem with this dog before. No body will have a problem with this dog again. Thge owner thanked me for taking care of his problem.

Never know when that rabbit or squirrel will attack.

I'm glad you took care of his problem for him. Did you suggest that he never got another dog. His irresposibility could have ended badly. I probably would have done the same as you but would have had to "educate" the neighbor as well.

Mainly because I do. When I don't you can bet the farm there is one within my reach. I live in the Sierra foothills and we do get many visiters that are unwanted. Right now we have a cat problem (bobcat & mountian lion) because the sheep and goats are having their young. The fence that encloses the entire property is 6 feet tall, the fence that encloses the animals is 10 feet tall with three strands of hot wire on the outside of it. Unlike some, I take care of any predator problem quickly. If I was to wait for someone else to do it for me, I would lose to many animals. Others have asked, Why do you live in an area like this? They have never been in an area like this. I can leave the keys in my car and I don't have to lock my doors when I leave. The last house I live in for 28 years and never had a key to the locks. Was locked out once by a visiting freind, had to go though the window to get in my own darn house. Were there more people like me carrying guns, there would be less crime.
