So my mom ordered some really spicy foods from a friend recently, since she likes making chili and my step-father really likes spicy foods. All I knew was that she ha ordered a really REALLY spicy hot sauce and something else, and that they had been imported from another country. Look what came in the mail today:
A bag of dried "Bhut Jolokia Chile Pods" (the hottest pepper in the world!!!
) and a bottle of "Extremely Hot Sauce".
On the side of the hot sauce bottle it says "It won't kill you but you'll wish it did!" and it says (on a bright yellow label): "CONTAINS 4 MILLION SHU: EXTREMELY HOT! USE AS A FOOD SUPPLEMENT ONLY, ONE DROP AT A TIME. AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES AND SENSITIVE AREAS. USE RESPONSIBLY. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN."
Bag of dried Bhut Jolokia Chile Pods: It says on the bag, "Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) is the hottest pepper in the world, measuring up to 1,041,427 Scoville units! It boasts a smoky flavor. Use sparingly and with caution."
I hate hot foods and will only stand the mild Taco Bell hot sauce (which really isn't that spicy at all. That's all I will eat. Anything hotter than that and I won't eat it.
You can bet I won't be eating any of what we got in the mail! My mom plans on making chili with it.
