Look what came in the mail today.............. *PICS*

I just ordered a jar of these "Ghost Peppers", but I will NOT be trying them. My dad like spicy stuff, so I hope he'll try one. We'll see.. There are TONS of videos on YouTube of people trying them..

Someone from India or Thailand would probably say, 'That's so darling! That's what I put in the baby's milk. Got anything for adults to eat?'

The smoky flavor is coming from your tongue.

I heard a really good practical joke is to put some hot sauce on the wood stove of your enemy. No matter how long it sits there, dried up, once the stove is lit and gets hot, the pepper oil gets in the air and burns your eyes, like fire.

No! Darnit, birds can't feel the heat from hot foods like we can. Weird, isn't it?

edited to say, yes, they can feel 'that food is HOT' temp wise, but they can't detect the spicy in food like we can. Hope that makes more sense.

My first experience with bhut jolokia was eating half a piece raw to see how hot they would be in the chili I was making. Which is normally what I do when using an unknown pepper, I normally have no trouble at all with hot stuff, but I pounded 4 cans of light beer in about 15 seconds, because my mouth was so on fire!!!! All I could think of was cold beer to take the heat off (didn't have milk). After four beers I was semi OK, and drunk.

I have some in the garden this year.
