Look what I brought home this morning...

I'm hoping to add a Blue Andalusian, a Leghorn and a Buff Orpington eventually.

Congrats on your new addition.

Beautiful silkie! Sigh, daughter and I are still working on getting silkies, either hatching them out or buying them. We might be buying three this week if everything works out.

yes she was passing out fliers for the arcola feed show, but that was early around 0830.
i saw the lady on the corner, it looked like they had about 300 silkies and about the same amount of polish too, but i was looking for a self black polish roo, to make blue babies. i think she had two cages full of the laced polish i think 1 was roos, cause they were bigger than the ones in the other cage. just a guess though. i have been looking for a while so yesterday i gave up the search and got rid of my 3 polish hens. my wifes cousin lost alot of birds in ike, so me and her brother donated some hens - i gave 4 he gave 5, and we bought him a nice roo at conroe.

I knew a lady who lived in Dayton, and for the life of me I can't remember her name now. She used to volunteer with the equine rescue I was involved with for a short time!

LOL---too bad you don't live closer! I got 'em coming out my ears! 15 babies just hatched in the past two weeks!!

i saw thosse there, i am glad you found them. if i had bantams i would have bought one of the blue roos from the man near the middle of the south side acrossed from all the cactii. i thought they were a pair, but he told me they were two roos. if i get started on the bantams i will need a whole new chicken house - LOL.
here is 4 of the sumatras taking a dirt bath in the yard

i
think the fifth one that i got may be a roo, has a slightly longer comb, and starting to get wattles. these 4 keep running (him) away from the group. i have yet to get a good pic.
