Look what I found today

Yep, Im glad I have my duck room with a fence down the middle. Babies on 1 side big ducks on the other. I think 1 of the dig ducks has just started laying. Last week 1 day I only got 2 eggs, I usually get 5...then I got 4, 4, 4, and 3 days ago I got this DIFFERENT egg...very pourus...spelling mistake there me thinks. I can tell Fionas egg coz its VERY WHITE when cleaned, so I htink 1 might of stopped laying...Fiona... and I have a new layer. I havent had any form Fiona for a week now going by the eggs when I clean them. But anyway, at least when the babies start laying I will know. Im also going to open up the hallway of the house and the bathroom (its quite a big room with the bath still in it) for the new ducks this year and I can split the bathroom in 2, so I can have a room for the Whites and a space for the emery and space for babies I have hatched. DH doesnt know all this just yet...but I did mention we need to open the hallway so I have somewhere to put the babies when I hatch...Im soooo glad I have this old house here. oh and can I just brag a bit...my 5 ducks that are laying laid 136 eggs this month compared to 124 in Nov and 106 in Oct...so my egg count is going up in the cold weather.

I've never taken so many pics of my duck's butts LOL

Bribery - the best way to get 3 ducks to stay in one spot together to get all their behinds together!

Ally (fawn and white) might be a little puffier, but don't really see much of anything with them

This is what I found when I went out to take butt pics...

This is the 2nd time today I had to go find them. Earlier this morning they were in the woods/brush (well 2 of them were, Cadbury was at the edge just standing there with a look that said it wasn't a good idea)
The fence is slack because it keeps getting broken when DH trips over it and now left open at the bottom so the ducks can get back in, because even when it was tighter, they found their way out! And not always their way back in LOL

They saw me, so started running (and I didn't even have food in my hands - they never saw the snack of lettuce until later!)

Then just to be kind and show that they loved me and weren't running in my direction JUST to be on the correct side of the fence, they ran right over to me

Property line should be cleared tomorrow or Friday and the new fence will go up after I'm done with my exam Saturday.
So hopefully they will stay on the side that has 2 dogs that won't eat them instead of the side with who knows what that's happy to eat them....
