Yesterday one of several goose eggs in the bator that I had just about given up hipe for hatching, was peeping. There was a tiny crack on the bottom side, so I peled off a little of the shell and the membrane was all dried and tough, like rubber. So I made a hole in it and the poor thing started gasping. I saw a bit of blood, so I wrapped it in a wet paper towel and put it back in the bator. All through the day, everytime I would check on it, it would wiggel and cheep back at me. I had to leave at 6PM so I was wondering what I would find when I came in this morning.
I know the males we have are Brown Chinese, but not sure if the female is an Embden or white chinese. This one will obviously be white!
I put it in the brooder with the one that hatched a week ago, watching to see if it was going to be agressive. Instead it started mothering it and cuddling!
