Just too cute!!! I think babies w/bills have it all over babies w/beaks in the cute department! Don't get me wrong, chicks are super cute too, but the little billed ones are just gut-wrenching, can't stop looking cute.
 
here's a question for those of you "in the know"

mama goose has taken her 3 little guys around to the back of the house and is camped out beside the other setting goose. they haven't left the area since yesterday. the other mama has 2 weeks to go until her eggs hatch. is this normal behavior? will it encourage mama #2 to abandon her eggs?

When I saw the first pic, I was thinking,"oh no... racoon atack" because I saw that crushed egg shell, but then i scrolled down and saw those cute little darlins!!! congrats!! I have goose eggs to hatch in 6 days!! so excited!!

I can't say for sure, usually a setting goose ignores anything around her as long as it is not a threat. If the setter is a first time mom, I would encourage you to keep the other mom and goslings away as she might become confused, think they were her babies and leave the nest to take care of 'her babies'. It is not a pretty sight to have two mother geese fighting over babies and usually fatal for the gosling. ~gd
