Why thank you! I need to try and find that thread. Yes he is all look and no action twards people, the kids all catch him very easily. But what a look it is indeed.

Funny though he also posses for pics, stands very tall, and makes sure that I am able to get both of his good sides! LOL I love it.

Oh how lucky are you!?! They're beautiful. I have a LF Black Cochin roo who's about 10 months old, he's such a sweetie pie. Are your hens bearded? It could just be the picture, but they look bearded to me. So cute!

Well before, I had answered you and said no they have no beards.....But I realized today, I was wrong. They girls seem to have little beards on them. Does that mean they are mixes? If they are I don't care they are still great!

I also got another 6 hens for free today. 2 Amerucanas, one Silver Laced Wyandotte, a Road Island Red a Black Astralorp and a Buff Orpington! They are very good girls too.

It could mean they're mixes. Or maybe someones Silkie jumped the fence a few generations back and it just popped up. Bearded or not, they're lovely (I was actually excited about hatching eggs out this spring, specifically my Cochin x EE eggs, that's why I asked ). I've called about all of the free chicken adds I've seen on Craigslist and I always get the same poopy response "Sorry, someone just picked them up!". You're one lucky ducky!!!! Do we get pics of the new girls? Please, please, please

Ohhhh lucky you! They're beautiful! My Roo's are named Sugar Daddy (name tells the entire story), Boss, Da Shizzle and Big. Big was the last egg to hatch last year, was the biggest chick with the biggerst personality and won me over big time! Turns out Big is a hen Enjoy your new beautiful bunch!
