Seven out of 11 made it on the ringneck phesants! I'm happy with that. They are the cutiest little bitty babies. In the meantime I went to the co-op yesterday and brought home 4 Ancona's all suppose to be pullets. Now to put some black mottle cochins and EE in the bator tomorrow. Love that r-com! Check out my pics
Glad to see you here again jossane! I'm allways so late on here, hubby goes to bed so makes it easier for me. I don't know yet. I have a pair in the pen now but I think the female is too young to mate. I guess sell some later if I have too many roos, time will tell. The Ancona's are little sweethearts, not flighty at all yet and seem to love me handling them.
Funny you mentioned that gpamela3499 as I've submitted that about 30 mins ago. Sure hope they pick it. They might not tho since I forgot to take the date off.
They are so pretty. It would be neat if they would stay with that coloring when they get older. I haven't seen too many pics of them except on here. But I can't wait to see their coloring when they do get older.
The pheasants are gorgeous. I've been wishing I could get some for myself. I like to look through my Stromberg's catalog and dream of all the beautiful birds I could have...
My hubby works nights for another month or so, which means I'm up half the night enjoying peace and solitude. If I go to bed too early alone, I lay there wide awake and worry about things, so it's easier to stay up and enjoy the night time until my eyes are so heavy that I know I'll sleep within seconds of my head hitting the pillow!
So did you figure out what SD is? How are all the babies?
Hey I know your a long way from me but maybe we can work something out someday if I get eggs or what and maybe do a swap or something. They are beutiful bird. The male that we have is very friendly. Won't let you touch him but walks up to you to be fed. The female is very flighty. I got these babies from a nice trade for a peahen that I had and he gave me a bunch of eggs and other chicken as you see in my earlier post. Yes it was a silver duckwing bantam. I think he's the one with the chipmunk stripe. He is real friendly also. Well my eyes are getting heavy. Pm me if you would like to work something out later.
