Look what I have . . .

Thank you Lanissa.

The chicks are all mutts. The big rooster is probably the father. I think five of the chicks are from the banties and 3 are from standard hens.

Anyone, any idea what breeds the roosters are?

I love how the hens all squeeze into one nest - so funny - my girls do it as well.... so funny, Tandem laying!! You have really pretty chickens!

A little over three weeks one of my hens just disappeared. We could not find any sign of her but we hoped for the best. A few days ago she appeared making come get the food noises and puffing up when other chickens and we got near her. She disappeared again and showed up again the next day acting the same. Then we didn't see her for two days.

Today she showed up again with these in tow.

The little brown guy in the front we called Khaki because of his color.

This is Khaki now. He is rather precocious. He started crowing at 9 1/2 weeks and tried to mate with the hen that hatched him. I think the bantam rooster earlier in the thread might be the father.

Oh boy! It looks like you have a lot going on at your place! Great pictures and very lovely chickens!

Thank you Gumpsgirl.

There are even more. Like my 27 dual purpose birds that are now 13 weeks old. Have 15 chicks that are 9 1/2 and 10 1/2 weeks old courtesy of two broody hens that I thought I would let do their thing. 7 chicks that are about 4 weeks old, they're from the hen that disappeared and then came back. A bantam I'm still chicken sitting. 5 laying hens and a rooster. I think I got them all.

Nice looking flock dacjohns. Love the hens jamming into one nest box. I think there was rom for at least one more maybe two.
