Actually I got to thinking . This is the perfect set up to put them in as adults, if I am out in the yard working or relaxing where I can keep an eye on them but dont have to worry about them roaming into the neighbors yard. SO . . . . I will be going back and buying more panels to make it 4 X larger ! ha ha that way I can move them all over the yard as needed. But they will still have a run attached to their coop . Nothing too good for my chickens I guess ! LOL
Improvise, adapt and overcome. You did well. And I feel your pain. Our 16 chicks were 9-weeks-old Monday and I've been killing myself to get the coop finished. I hope to get the entry door installed tomorrow so I can move them in permanently, while I finish all the little stuff like trim and painting.

That is exactly what we did with our little chicklets.....our dog doesn't use her crate anymore...but I think that she would gladly share! She decided the moment we brought the chicks home that they were hers and she has taken on the role of "mother hen"....I guess it is a collie thing! LOL
