When can I start giving them peas? I'm hoping to make them friendlier towards people than my other ducks...

Now what to name them...

I gave mine the little baby peas very early. When they play in the tub, I would throw them in the water or put them on the floor and watch them play with them. Peas won't hurt them. They are precious!

Just mash them and make pea soup or cut the little itty bitty peas into little itty bittier bites.
After a week, I had a small pea that I took out of the shell and then split into 4 pieces (they better be thankful!!). Then they could take on half a pea and then full peas.

I made sure to give them tiny sprinkles of chick grit in their crumbles, and started with peas when they were a week old. They were the petit peas, and not too many, but we did start early with grit, then "real food" for treats. I chopped up lettuce very finely and served it in shallow water. Heaven! A mess, but I would do it right before brooder cleanup time, so no additional work was required.

Speaking of peas, thanks for the reminder! I'm going to plant some today.
