I love spring and finding guinea eggs all over. Then, finding the mother of all nests with a big load of eggs!

Our guineas make a specific sound when they're on their nest, a sort of whistling whee-hee-hee-hee that we've learned to notice. When we hear that sound we know to follow it to find their nest. We'll mark a few of the eggs & remove the fresh ones daily. I don't have a guinea cock any more, so there's no benefit to leaving them there. We think they're deeeelicious. All 4 of our hens will usually lay in the same nest, and continue to use that one location until one of them decides to go broody there. Then we have to remove all the marked eggs & cover up the nest spot, and the next day they collaborate on a new nest site.
