Look who I found watching my hens today...

I wasn't offended lol I was just saying I KNOW what I saw !!! It was awful.....I looked up the Goshawk and they are not real common here. This happened more than once or twice could have been the same hawk not sure looked the same....but the hawk was about 2/3 the size of the hens....looked exactly like the photos of Cooper's hawk online I have found. But their wing span was really large......They didn't carry them far...swooped down grabbed, flew off about half football field to the side pasture landed and commenced to pecking, killing the hen. By the time I got there it was just too late. We do have bald eagles at Lake HAwkins and Lake Fork where they nest, tourists come to see them but this wasn't near the size and I would have known if it was a bald eagle. I may just make this a mission this summer.....they are only active during the summer at my place.....to take pics and see if yall can help me identify what exactly it is. Might be a lesson for all of us...maybe it is a hawk out of place here or one I don't know about....now that I have poultry again I am sure they will be back!!! The run will be enclosed but that doesn't stop them from looking and checking it out!!!
