My 3 girls are 21 weeks, and the first eggs were a few days ago. I’ve noticed my black Australorp Sasha is looking a little shaggy and not as smooth as my Easter egger and barred rock, I’m wondering if they all “struggle” a little as they mature?
Changed to free-feeding layer crumble today, with oyster shells always available, free ranging several hours every day.
Any ideas? Is it my imagination or does she look a little scrappy? She’s acting normal.
Thanks in advance!
(Ps, her comb was partially torn off a few months ago when she got spooked and ran under a bench, it’s healed well it just looks funny)
