Looking at breeding chickens

Yes, I bought some no-crow-collars and they're sitting in my chicken cabinet, lol. It's a long story but my daughter renamed our rooster after her Great Grandfather, Henry...and now my husband says I can't put a crow collar on his Grandfather. 🤦‍♀️ LOL!

ok so you don’t know if they actually work or not...lol... 🤦‍♀️ Men can’t live with them can’t live without them (mostly) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We tried a variety of no-crow collars on our little D'Uccle rooster Gumball a few years back, beyond the fact that he hated wearing them we decided that for our family it was just better to rehome him. He was a very polite nice little dude and some of the collars didn't stop him, others seemed to almost hurt him, despite following the instructions and training with them he didn't like them, made me feel like a bad guy :'( Gumball found a lovely little group of ladies just a mile away who he IMMEDIATLY loved, it was perfect <3 He could crow all he wanted and shook every single little bantam feather he had for them!

tldr; some may work, some may not, it'll also largely depend on the rooster!

Lol, Yes and yes. Unfortunately I can't help on this one. I will say I was surprised to find that these "collars" are basically just velcro though. A friend of mine that has used them told me to get the wider one and you should be able to get two fingers in comfortably when adjusting. The roosters will still crow, it's just not quite as loud. Like you'll hear the beginning of the crow but they can't quite hit the peak of their volume. That's about all the help I can be.

Ok thanks.... might do some more research on them.... and then comes the talk with the council... and the neighbour who rang the council about my other roo.... hence why I had to rehome him....
