Looking to start a small backyard flock. Need 6 good laying hens. Any breed as long as they are good egg producers.Grown birds or pullets.
Any info will be appreciated.

I've got a few I'd be willing to part with here in Louisa, and there's a huge chicken swap coming up Sept 15th at Gilmanor. (Montpelier)

Don't know if that's out of your travel range or not, but you'd definitely be able to find something there.
