I used Murray McMurray hatchery. I purchased 15 Ameraucanas and they gave me a free surprise chick (optional). I think it's neat how they want you to figure out what surprise chick you have as they grow. We received all chicks safely, healthy and alive. They are 6 weeks old approx. All the chicks seem to be developing correctly. I have been very pleased with my purchase. They sent me a variety of colors.

Happy you are enjoying your birds. The ones that Murray McMurray are calling Ameraucana do not follow the breed standard as far as coloring, both feathering and leg color (mixed colors, greenish legs).They are technically Easter Eggers. Yours will still lay beautiful eggs for you and they are sweet and friendly birds.
They have recently started offering Ameraucana in blue. I believe these do follow the standard.
I believe the OP is looking for a breeder that follows the standard and is more after quality than quantity. Murray McMurray is an excellent hatchery, I have purchased other breeds from them before, but as with all large hatcheries, it is hit or miss on what you end up with.

I have no budget. I really really really want some self-blue Ameraucanas. I will pay a lot for some show quality ones.
