Looking for a high quality Ameraucana breeder please!

@chickenmomma16 I won a bid. My bid was a little $300 +. I'd say I got lucky. I've seen the bids go higher. Sometime it depends who and what the item is for the auction. I think last year I also won a bid too for hatching eggs, but then my hatch rate wasn't too good. I think I need to invest in a more professional incubator. Ended up with a roosters from the hatch and couldn't find any gals for it :lau.

Love your wheaton Ameraucanas!

There's a few CA poultry shows in the next few weeks/months. There's one today in Hollister (CA), and then one of the biggest CA poultry show in Lodi is at the end of the month. Some folks requested a ABC meet, so depending on weather condition may go out to see who attended. Rn, tons of area in California is flooded, so.... we'll see.

Are you part of ABC or Alliance?
I plan to be at the Lodi show and will be showing a couple bantam wheatens just for fun. My show birds are currently bantam Brahmas and d’Anvers. I’m having a tough time sourcing bantam Ams in CA.

Weather is pretty gnarly, but shouldn’t be too bad.

Congrats on the bid win! 🎉

Anyone in here known for their superior Ameraucanas? Must be willing to to ship to California. Thank you!
I'm not sure what you mean by "superior quality". But I bought a Blue (BBS) Ameraucana hen and matching rooster from Meyers. You can't see the hen that well in the first picture. But you can get an idea of her coloring. She doesn't like her picture taken. But our rooster, doesn't mind at all. LOL

I ended up preordering some from Lindsey Helton at Once in a Blue Moon. I can't wait! Thank you all for the advice. I'm hoping to attend some shows in California this year. What are the requirements to be able to enter, just for fun? I really love my Pita Pinta Asturianas and thought about taking one. I'm still narrowing down my focus with chicken breeds, lol. I love so many of them!

I’m a happy member of both clubs 😁 Have been since 2016

No big requirement. You just have to register before the deadline. Deadline is usually about 4 weeks prior to the show. There's usually a registration fee involved.
