Looking for a male saint bernard

She still has not had them and yesterday was the first date due. I have seen milk coming out of her teets as of this last sat. but I think was just starting then because the milk was like greenish yellow and kinda think. Yesterday milk that came out looked more like milk consistency and white.

Everywhere I read on line said they usually have them in 1-2 days from when milk starts. Should I be worried yet?

Has her temp gone below 99? If so then she should go into labor within 24 hours. Is there any discharge?
Can you feel the pups moving?

I dont see discharge at all and the puppies are moving like mad. They want out :) I have been taking her temp at least 4 times a day and I have not caught it drop but she goes the longest at night with out me checking it so I could of missed it.

Still no babies yet. She has had milk since last sat. that I seen but think it was just starting then. Today is the last day she was bred. I guess I will be taking her into the vet real soon.

Wow, I am new to this forum and I don't want to step on toes so quickly but I'm very disappointed in this thread. Did you ever follow up on any of the advice given to you? What are the OFA results? Elbows, eyes? What about the male do you think improves upon the female faults, vice versa? The ONLY reason anybody should ever breed is to preserve the best specimens of the breed. How in the world do you know your dog is in this category if you have never shown her and the sire has never been shown? Are you the one judging the standard? Have your dogs even been evaluated by another reputable breeder? What kind of contract do you have? I really hope and pray you are selling on limited registration. I question your breeder that she didn't do this herself and that makes me question the dogs that you are breeding. What happens when health problems come up in your puppies? You have done your puppy buyers a great disservice in selling them these puppies. I cannot believe you were told and educated and chose to ignore every single one of them. I have not read through this whole thread but I did notice that you completely skipped past any post that didn't resemble rainbows and unicorns regarding your breeding practices. I guess this is just a part of the forum I'm going to have to stay away from.

I guess you missed my first post and the fact that I was on here trying to get help and advice. I made it clear from the beginning of responses, what my plans were. You should read more carefully and not be so judgmental. Instead help if you have anything to say that has not already been said that would be constructive in helping me be a better breeder.

I am not going to argue with you or debate with you. I dont have to prove myself to you or anyone on here. I am not on here trying to sell my puppies to you. If you want to read and help me great if not that is fine too.

I stated early on I wanted and needed help. That I was going to do this. Somethings we will just have to agree to disagree and yes if you dont like this part of the board move along.

Temperaments are great too by the way. Momma is a great mom.

For those wondering puppies were born yesterday and 8 were born.

6 boys and 2 girls I will post pics soon for those interested.

Yes they are sold with a contract and limited registrations.

I do want the best for my saint/Symphony and her puppies and I plan to do the things her sire and dam's owner did not. That is the least I can do to start. I know if I have one litter with my saint and there are any problems complications or other, as in finding homes for the puppies it will not happen again. I do have some homes for some and giving one puppy to a dear friend. I do plan on having a contract and if I use a stud I have a contract for the breeding as well.

Here she is....I am sure you may have seen her already on here before though.

We want to get into breeding and showing of saints. My husband always has wanted one. No saints in this area really that I know of or ever see. I know people would want them for pets around here. I do plan on if sold locally to limit the AKC registrations for sure.

I still have not heard back from the sire's owner on the hip tests that she has.

I did see this sire's pedigree however and his sire's side has a lot of CH's....some on his dam's side too just not as much.

Yes I am already lining up potential buyers. I have been doing that.

I am also planning on having funds set aside for a csection too, in case needed.

I was wondering about nutrition too for my girl. I hear to put her on puppy food but not sure when too do that or if I should?

No testing for disease has been done yet. This sire has had 3 litters already though with no problems known.

I have a spot to keep them separate and they are separated now and will be at whelping time too. Can they be back together during pregnancy? When should they be separated before birthing? A couple weeks before due date?

Thank you for any help....like I am always getting new info everytime I read or talk to people about this.

I'd be interested in seeing pics of the new pups :)
I've read this entire thread and have refrained from posting, until now.
OP, I don't see any need to badger you, there's been enough of that already. What's done is done (twice).
Would I like to see pictures of your new litter? Absolutely! Would I ever buy a puppy from you? No, I wouldn't, because your dogs haven't had those really important health tests. But, that doesn't mean that I don't want to look at your pictures and go :love
