Bingo. Extra males can "stay around" for years while females usually sell out within weeks or months at most. BIG difference. I never sell females only if the numbers are equal.
If you really don't want them to breed & you like guineas.. get a couple young female guineas and keep them in with the males. Those will help keep the males around.. some guinea females will let peacocks breed them. And if they happen to make babies, no worries they're sterile. Male guineas can get in bad conflicts with peacocks though...
Other than that, if you keep looking and wait long enough, an available peahen will eventually show up.
Well, I do have a female Guinea that free ranges with him, but goes back in the hen house at night. Very interesting!! I have a young group of pullets that he has been displaying for. They are not impressed. haha!
