Will enjoy opinions from more experienced chicken keepers. I'm definitely a newbie.

The hen discussed above is doing so much better. She is walking on the injured leg albeit with a limp. She is still in the cage within the pen, so she is with the other chickens yet protected from them.

Question: When to free her from the cage and rejoin the flock?

I’d say once her leg is totally healed up, when she’s walking normally. Welcome to BYC!
