Are there any reputable breeders in the area? I am looking to add a couple of point-of-lay pullets or laying hens to my flock. I've spent the last few days researching on the 'net and haven't had any luck.

Thanks!

Kelli

I can get RR's with a heads notice. Also sexlink mamas that are laying.

Firefly,

I'm in NW CT, and I'm looking for some Ameraucanas as well. I would prefer to get them from local breeders, but can't seem to find any. Would you be interested in sharing an order from a decent hatchery?

I think Meyers, and Ideal had EEs the last time I looked. Let me know!

Thanks,
Ruth

CtLiscencedArborist-- thank you for the offer! I do have my heart set on Ameraucanas though... I want those blue eggs!

Ruth-- I just emailed you.

Hi Kelli & Ruth and anyone else in CT,
I've been looking for point of lay pullets also and had no luck. I was hoping there would be someone at the Bridgwater fair with some to sell but there seemed to be very few chickens over all. I was wondering if you guys are going in on an order if either of you (or anyone else) would be interested in raising some for me as well (for a fee of course). I don't have the space or time right now for chicks but would love some more layers. I'm opening a bed and breakfast soon and need lots of eggs! I'm in NW CT. Thanks, Jen

Hi,

We have three started Ameraucana pullet chicks. They are 1+ month old. More chicks will be available shortly.

We're located in S.E. Mass. and will likely be at the Holliston swap on Sunday.

We should have Ameraucana chicks available in late winter / early spring.

We have true Ameraucanas in several colors including; Black, Blue, Blue-Splash, Wheaten, BlueWheaten, Splash-Wheaten.

We are working on White and Buff, but won't have chicks in those colors until at least fall.

We are located just across the state line from Union, CT.

Hey Doug!

Welcome to the forum. I would def be interested in a couple of your chicks whenever they're ready. Only thing is that my neighbors would not appreciate a roo - how good are you at sexing? I have no color preference - my hens are pets and for eggs. I am in Deep River in the CT river valley and don't mind driving.
