looking for bobwhites to buy in florida

i live in Florida and I'm selling all my bantams to get into raising bobwhites . saying this does anybody know who i could talk to about buying any bbwht quail in Florida . thanks john

Yes I Did Find Some Here Locally And They Were Very Health Let Me Tell You I Mean Fat Lol . I Got 3 Hens 1 Rooster . I Figured I Would Start With These And Go From There . I Was Told I Need A Permit ?? Does Any Body Know About This?? Thanks John

Talk to your local FWC officer to be 100% sure but yes, you need a permit if you plan to have more than 50 or you want to sell them.

That is correct, any kind of quail other than button quail requires a permit to sell. OR if you own 51 or more.

The permit is $50 and can be found on the FWC site, it is called a GFL or Game Farm License.

You can call them and they will walk you thru it if you need them to. 850-488-6253 is the number for that department. The form is only a page long and very minimal. ( just went thru it!!)
