Looking for breed of 8 week old chick

I bought this chick about 8 weeks ago. It was in a bin with others like it that also had black/white chicks that I do not remember if they were australorp or barred rock. This chick was completely white at the time and has since become a nice buff color. I cannot find any info on a breed that starts out white and turns buff. I don't think it's a buff orp because I have 2 from last year that were light yellow as babies plus all the ones I saw this year were light yellow, too. Here are 2 pics in different lighting.


It has clean legs that are really light yellow/whitish.
I'm not worried about gender, but would really like to know the breed. Thanks!

i would guess an orp, or maybe its a cross idk. Sorry im not great at id chickens. P.s. do you know anything about sexing chicks? if you do, please reply to my chick gender post

Are buff orps known to sometimes be white as a chick? I always thought they were really light yellow.

Yes, they are very light as chicks.

Hmm. I guess I am having a hard time seeing it as a bo since it didn't start like my others. All I will add is that this chick was so white my DD thought I had bought a cornish cross accidentally. The buff color didn't start to show up until a few weeks after I bought it and it came in very slowly. Is it possible that it may have been crossed with some other breed that threw me off?
