I am looking for several large fowl breeds to add to my breeding stock. I would like to find adult trios (by adult, I mean ready fir laying and breeding) for the following breeds;
Gold Laced Wyandotte
Barred Rock
Welsummers
Black Australorpe (rooster only)
I am looking for hobby bred, near show quality stock (I am replacing my hatchery flock; I love my birds, but I am breeding/selling for eggs and meat, and the hatchery birds just don't have the meat!). My intent is to breed for dual purpose, but I've been asked to donate hatching eggs to a local 4-H, and they would like to show; I'd like to give them something with which they might be successful! And who knows? I just might start showing myself ;-). I am in the Turlock/Modesto area. Is there anyone relatively close by with any of these breeds?
