Good evening all. I'm curious as to how many BYCer's are out there in Southern California?

I am new to BYC and to SoCal. Will be getting chickens and geese over the next few months. Must get a fence and shelter set up before the birds arrive!

Oh, and by the way - yes, it IS hot enough for me! Whew!

We are in Azusa. It was 110 at 2:40. Between the heat and the smoke. I've been loading up the watering buckets with ice about noon time and cold watermelon and grapes seem to be keeping the girls happy. We know our place in the fire zone is ok, we just can't get up there. It looks like from news reports and maps that the fire was maybe a mile away. Oh well, what do you do...........? All roads are stilled closed. Perhaps this weekend they will open to residents. Hope everyone manages to stay cool this weekend.
