I was at an animal swap today and picked up three Call drakes now I need some females anybody in Colorado or surrounding areas? And Please any info on these little Cuties would be greatly appreciated....

I do not have call ducks but I am very interested in where you are and the animal swap was? I am on the western slope and am interested in call ducks. My 12 yr old mallard ducks were murdered by a vermin last fall and I recently bought a black poly pond to plant in the yard for my future ducks. I really like ducks and it is too quiet out here without them. Space is unlimited. I see from your bio that you have 25 ducks, what kind do you have and do you have any eggs for sale? I have been hatching out chicks for some locals and am actually delivering some chicks back to there home on Wed. Would love to hear more on the call ducks and your experience with them. Sorry I can't help you with hens.

The Animal swap was in Pueblo,First time I've attended and they had alot of different kinds of poultry,I have runner ducks.I will be setting eggs as soon as everybody starts laying.

As soon as I know if I have any Calls I will let both of you know. Meant to get back to you Ruralmom. Where are you on the Western Slope? I am on Glade Park.

Kandyg_99 What color did you get?

I am really close to the south eastern corner and have some...they are starting to lay

I kust picked up another pair of pastels at an auction tonight...and I didn't even go to the auction!!! Gotta love friends!!!

way in the nw corner of the state in craig. we have a large ranch north of town and space is not an issue. just let me know if any eggs come available. I would like to try this breed. what makes them so difficult to hatch out?

I read that size makes them harder to hatch . Small round head. Since you are so close I would gladly send you some eggs so we can both learn something. Let me see how many I get and I will gather some to send you. No charge. I see them mating so I feel she is fertile. PM me your address if you are interested. I have some under a broody silkie and some in the bator. My Bator temp is all over the place so I am just crossing my fingers on that one.

Is it possible to get some of those call duck eggs my incubator is up and running with Sebastopol goose eggs?

Yes, you can try some too. PM your address and let me see what I get this week. She is what they call pastel i believe. She was younger in pictures so I need to update and see what the the experts think. I do not really care what color I get at this point because I love them and they are so cute. I had a Grey pair but unfortunately a dog got them both. Please try to post pictures soon!
