Looking for Chickens

Hi, If anyone knows where I can get egg laying chickens for a backyard coop I would appreciate it. I live on Eastern Long Island.

Online hatcheries are great place to get started ie CaliforniaHatcheries. They can be mailed directly to your post office and raising baby chicks into adults is the best way. They will know who the "mama" is. Talking on older birds has too many risks. If your willing to take a risk Craigslist probably has people looking to help start your flock. Good luck!
