Looking for Chicks

We just built a chicken coop, but can't seem to find any reasonable priced chicks. We live in Davidson County, NC.

As you're finding out, the later in the year it gets, the trickier it can be to find chicks, most people get them in the spring. If you would like to check with other members from NC, you can find them here:

There are some online hatcheries that have chicks too, but you would probably have to buy 15-25 of them (or pay extra for a small order). Two of them I know of right off the top of my head are Murray McMurray and MyPetChicken.
