I don't sell my eggs, but I do give them to friends, family, neighbors. Love this idea!
I was also thinking I'd make a little "key" so that everyone would know who laid which egg. I only have 8 chickens, so it's easy to discern who is who and who laid what. Maybe pictures of the girls, a brief bio, and a description of the type of egg she lays. I'd print it and tuck it into the cartons.
Something like:
"Zinnia is a beautiful Barred Plymouth Rock hen. She is our flock's Top Hen. She loves getting head scratches from visitors and carrying on conversations with her flock. Her eggs are light brown with a few lavender/gray colored speckles."
Or is that overkill? LOL
