i picked 2 boer does yesterday but i dont know how old they are the guy i got them from said the younger one was 4 to 5 months old and the bigger one was 5 to 6 months old is their a way to tell i need to know when can i put them in my big pen with my buck

You could put them in with your buck now, but most people prefer to breed in the fall for a spring birth. And waiting until fall will give your girls a chance to mature more too.
Boer are year round breeders, so they may come into heat at any time. Personally, I would put them with him in Sept-Oct when they are larger, and it is cooler. You would have kids five mo after they breed.

80 pounds or 8 months old would be the earliest you would want to expose them to a billy...Since you don't know the age I would aim for the 80 pounds...When boer doelings are at or around this weight it is accepted practice to breed them...exposed before this weight/age they may never fully develop in size...pen them next to your billy and introduce them when you think they are ready...they may not even begin to cycle until late summer/early fall...feed them well and when they are exposed they will cycle and settle almost right away.

I've raised Boer goats for almost 10 years now and I rarely, if ever, breed a doe in her first year, but then, I'm in a cold climate. My kids are born in May or June, so when the breeding season rolls around again in Dec. the kids are only 6 or 7 months old. They are going into a hard winter at a time when they still have a lot of growing to do, so I hold them over and breed them the following year. That means they are coming 2 years old when they kid out for the first time. In a warmer climate, you could probably breed them in their first year. Chances are, they would have been born earlier in the year and can reach a good weight/age before breeding.
