Looking for hatching eggs in Southern Cal.

Wow, that's fascinating about the Trader Joe's eggs -- you go for trying that. I'll be interested to hear how the hatch comes out -- any idea what breed? Maybe RIR?

I ordered some Buff Orpingtons from Georgia, and I also found out about a place in Westminster that has RIR & Leghorns, $18/doz. It's an egg factory for vaccine production but they save some out to sell for hatching (AA Laboratory, 714-893-5675). I'll check out the Ham & Eggs ranch -- thanks for that tip!

We were pretty sure on the mix of the brown eggs from Sprouts. We couldn't find any info on these white ones that are developing . I'm guessing just a hybrid leghorn of some kind since they are white eggs. Maybe a Hyline?

How many do you need? I have RIR's and live in Pomona. I can give maybe half a dozen. I have eggs in the bator right now and I have four chicks in the brooder from the last set. Let me know and I can hold on to them otherwise they get eatin or incubated.
