Welcome!

Heat can be hard on chickens. We don't get as hot there, but it did hit 117F here last summer. I have a coop with good ventilation and a gable fan. I also have shade and a misting system.

Hi there I live in the mid Atlantic region now, but when I lived in the Mojave desert, I had chickens and I remember hosing down their coop every afternoon in the summer time to cool it off., and planting lots of trees because we didn’t have any . Shade is going to be important. Welcome to BYC.
