Hi! I live is Los Angeles and am just starting out with chickens.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My neighbor and I are building a coop. We can’t buy chickens right now because of Newcastle disease.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We hope to have 6.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We don’t know. We are excited for chickens that are friendly and give good eggs.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Composting, pets, eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Capoeira, reading, baking
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Our coop is going up and we need chickens! If anyone has a lead for me on purchasing in Southern California let me know. Thanks!
