Looking for large heritage Rhode Island Red breeder

I am looking for a breeder of the old large Heritage Rhode Island Reds. I currently have RIRS but I am looking for a better quality boys to go with my girls. Any information would be helpful. Thank you and have a beautiful day

If you look at the rooster this person pictures as an Exibition RIR and think it is one, please study some more. ERIR are deep, dark mahogany. That rooster is NOT correct. Also roosters determine color, hens determine type, so if you want to improve your line keep that in mind.

The statement made by the poster you quoted has not scientific merit. Both parents determine type and color.

Might be worth looking into North Star Poultry in Montana? To my inexperienced eyes they appear to have nice color, don't know enough to tell if they have good type.
