Hi, I am in Michigan and am looking for LA’s for my teen daughter. She had them when she was 6 years old and we lost the last one last year. She really misses them, she is a 4.2 student but causes herself a ton of stress and she said they helped. I would like to find some but not having much luck. Bought hatching eggs twice and got zero to hatch out, while the ccl’s in the same batch all hatched. Granted the ccls are my sons birds.... anyone have any contacts?

Search BYC breeds forums for "Lavender Ameraucana" and you might come up with information and resources.

Also, you can search NPIP by state here:
http://www.poultryimprovement.org/statesContent.cfm

They use breed codes and the ones for lavender Ameraucana are:
R1031 - regular sized chickens and W745 for Bantam sized chickens.

Just open up the state docs and use your "find" function on your computer to search for those breed codes easily. Maybe you'll find one within driving distance or find a good resource for shipping eggs or chicks.

Good luck!
