Looking for laying hens

Hi! I am Debbie. I am a retired teacher. I love my hens. I've been raising chickens for about 15 years. Last summer a bobcat killed all but 3 of my hens, my rooster, and my goose. I am looking for laying hens. I want about 6 more. I live in Palacios, Texas. If anyone lives in my area has hens for sale, please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Sorry about the loss of your older birds to the bobcat. You might want to post on the Texas state thread for local hens https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/44/texas you could also try the BYC Buy-Sell-Trade forum, after you have 20 posts you can place a want ad. Also if you want to start with chicks, this time of year most feed / farm stores like TSC, Rural King etc have chicks available for sale.

This little @*+$ had a couple of my chickens before I got him ....

Bob Cats are nasty and you really need a secure coop to slow them down

If you say hello and welcome to 20 new BYC members and then wait a day
