Looking for mealworms for my ducks at a reasonable price.

I just put the gamebird feed in a big pile and the pile gets smaller and smaller till I dump more on. The water crystals were making the oats mold so I put a little bit of potting soil in the corner to put the water crystals on. The bag of water crystals I got is small but they expand an incredible amount so I think they will actually last me years and years

I'm really using the oats more as bedding but they do eat them, but mainly I am using 28% protein gamebird feed because my mom has a lot of it lying around and I just took a small bag of it, it seems the small bag is going to last me a long time.
You have a really awesome set up. I feed my mealworms wheat bran ($.46 lb. at winco food). One pound of wheat bran lasts me one month. Also, I give them potatoes instead of water crystals.

A few days later I've got loads of beetles running around in there. I can't wait till I get enough to start feeding them to the ducks!

My mealworm farm has gotten to a point that is is producing loads and loads of baby mealworms.

Something I just recently noticed, is they don't go through the feed nearly as quickly as I thought they were. They just kind of move it around a lot so it looks like there is less, but now there is enough food in my mealworm bucket to last a very very very long time. Also I just finished off my 1st tablespoon of the water crystals I use, the little bag I have is going to last forever. Today I went to look through them to find some mealworms for my ducks, and I believe I got an albino mealworm :p
