We want to get a few goats next Spring but have been told to stop reading all the books and get "hands on" mentoring. I think that is good advise so am hoping to find 2 or 3 different people who have goats and are willing to share their knowlege & experiences so we will be good stewards.

We live in the St. Charles County (Defiance), Missouri area. Thank you!!!

Just saying that I have Nigerian dwarf goats and they are adorable. I got them at the end of last year so I'm not he goat expert. These goats don't eat much. I give mine 1/4 cup of grain 2x daily. These goats love getting attention. I'm not sure how good of milkers they are because I haven't bred my doe yet. Believe me you will have fun with your goats.

Thanks for the advice and I have looked. I'm not finding one. If you have any idea about one in my area, I would sure be thankful fo the information.

Thank you so much! We've heard they are adorable and fun! Would love to chat with a few goat farmers though about what to expect and do if any issues arise.
Thank you for the feedback though!

Check the local 4-h clubs. I know that many leaders would be happy to help you, regardless of your age! (Not saying you're old, I just don't know how old you are

Thanks! That is a great place to start that I didn't think of! And I'm not a kid but not a senior so I'm an "inbetweener"..LoL
Have a blessed day!
