I have an orphan Silkie who will be 2 months old June 1. There were originally two babies, but momma hen inadvertently 'did one in' early on. Don't know what I was thinking, but hadn't anticipated the day (which is now here) when the hen is ready to rejoin the flock and the chick is looking a bit lonely and blue.

I'm on Whidbey Island, but trek over to the Bothell-Everett area fairly often. Jazz is my only Silky so I'm really thinking he/she needs some 'like' companionship. I would love a Buff chick (to add color to the flock), but would settle for any color just to have another friend or two. (Jazz is a blue silkie.)

Anyone out there with anything available?

Thanks so much for the suggestion of Jen's silkies. They ARE BEAUTIFUL. However, I'm really hoping to find something closer to home (WA state). I'm afraid the last time I shipped, a 'perfect storm' of missed communications (mostly arising from good intentions) led to a near disaster and so I'm terrified to try again.

If she weren't clear across the country I'd be sitting in my car right now headed in her direction.

I have a little girl that needs a home she will be 2 months old June 9th

Sorry I didn't back to you sooner - I think i hadn't 'subscribed' to the thread and I lost track of where it was. I find out tomorrow if someone here on the Island has a Silkie available, but I'll definitely contact you if it turns out there isn't, and see if your little cutie is still available.

Thanks so much for the reply.
