I am in the process of hatching my first batch of eggs that I received from a nice lady with a small chicken farm.

She gave me what she called second generation Sex Links.

The hen is a black sex link and the roo could be one of the following white rock or lavendar orp or blue orp.

I am not familiar with genetics, but was hoping someone could help me in understanding what might hatch out of these eggs.

Thanks so much.

With hybrids anything is possible. Chickens have a lot of hidden genes. For example here is a pic of a Serama x BLR Wyandotte bantam cross (she looks NOTHING like her parents).

Sorry I can't be more help than that :(

there are about 20+ color varieties that could be used to make black sex links. So you could get any of those colors mixed in with the light color from the roos. If you had pics of the hens, it would help

Hi KingR0o5t3r!

Thanks for that. I'll be posting pictures shortly. Many of the chicks hatched last night. They are currently in the brooder resting and finishing drying out. Once they seem a little stable on their feet, I'll snap a few pictures.

Adding photos of my two 2nd generation sex links. They are 1 day old.

Mother was a black sex link, father could be lavendar orp, blue orp, or white rock.
What do you think?????

I know, I know... kinda hard to tell.
