I got side shots! Posted above this commentAh, okay! Thank you for answering! I have a few Silkie-Cochin mixes as well, and they're the broodiest little stinkers in my flock!
As for your chicks, I do agree that Frog could go either way at this point. Peanut's comb is rather large, so I'm not sure I'd say pullet for sure yet on that one. Your little unnamed one that you just posted more pictures of does look like a cockerel to me. They're a bit young for me to be 100% sure on any of them except Firefly, though--he's beyond a doubt a boy with that comb at this age! Side shots help a lot with sexing as sometimes you can tell just by the pattern they're feathering in with, though.
Good luck with deciding on names! Sometimes that's the hardest part of raising up chicks for me.![]()
Okay, I'll try too. They move around A LOT. I know right? I look at one and I'm like "you look like a pullet" and then the next day it has a flushed red combOh, I meant side views of them standing, showing their whole body! That said, I'd give it more time on Frog and especially on the unnamed little guy because that one has me flip-flopping for sure. The top view you posted of Peanut looks like a pretty feminine coloration so far, so maybe she is a pullet after all... Man, these little ones are tough.![]()
