Looking for Pigeons in Southern CA

Hi ! I’m looking for some pigeons ( around 5-6) that I can raise in my backyard. I live in southern, CA. My zip code is 92346 if you want to know my general location . I’d prefer to drive and get the pigeons . Thanks a bunch !

Hello! I am unaware of any pigeon breeders in your area. (I'm on the other side of the US.) But have you checked craigslist? Are you looking for a certain breed? If you just want any pigeon, you could trap some under a bridge or such. It would be a car drive, but @h2oratt has a fantail that needs a place. Good luck!

Just did a search on Craigslist ( San Bernardino area ) there are a bunch for sale.

I know Newcastle is a big issue in your area. I would probably recommend finding a local club and asking how it will impact keeping birds in your area.

That’s a great point that you bring up . I have baby chicks with my right now and I don’t want to risk their health until we get Newcastle under control .
