Looking for Real Live Experience and Reviews for this Coop

It is attractive! Seems good for a pre-fab.

While you are building it, you may be able to add ventilation. I’ve not built a prefab, but would imagine that the roof panels are separate and you could raise the roof up a bit, so air can circulate above their heads, where it comes in under the eaves, and moving up towards the peak. Add in a small roof vent of some kind or rely on the existing side vents. Cover the now open eaves with HWC. Windows are there, make sure they have HWC covering them, but they will provide good ventilation. If the windows are in front of the roosts, you will want to position the windows away from the prevailing winds or provide a baffle of some sort during really windy or cold weather - should be easy to manage.

In the future, when you build a coop, this will be good for isolation/integration, or as a brooder.

The pop door: I’ve not had Orpington, but I recall they are large birds. I have Jersey Giants. The pop door dimensions may not allow a large bird to easily enter, so that is one consideration. You could enlarge the opening or keep to regular sized birds. Maybe oprpingtons aren’t as big as I think -others can chime in.

shade: YES, x10. The poor girls are wearing a down coat all the time, so they will need shade available. But, maybe you have a shady spot in your yard to put this coop in or near enough to provide some shade.

enjoy your new girls!
