Due to our bad wildfires last year (Dixie specifically) I lost my flock of serama as well as the birds I showed. I have three I was given by a friend who was moving but I'd like a couple more hens and maybe another rooster ideally. This rooster doesn't breed well and out of 10 eggs might only get three fertile eggs. And one hen doesn't lay at all. I don't know the history or age of these birds so that's half my issue. I'd like birds I can actually breed and have my flock back. So now down to egg talk after the sob story. I don't necessarily care if they are American, traditional, extreme, etc. I've had a bit of all, I've had smooth, frizzle and a silkied at one point. My main issue currently is I can't afford the exorbitant prices of eggs. I know they are expensive for a reason but maybe someone has a few excess eggs they wouldn't mind giving to or selling cheaply to someone that is just trying to regain some bit of normalcy in an area that was once beautiful and is now charred and being clear cut.
