I have one daughter in second grade who is trying to find a good project. As well, I have a daughter in the sixth grade looking for a good project. I cannot seem to find anything that they can do without mostly just watching me. Hello, thats not the point, they want to do it. Can anyone give me some suggestions or websites to look at?

My son won first prize in his 6th grade fair with a comparison between "greenworks" cleaner, "409" and "Kaboom". We boiled a red cabbage to make red cabbage indicator dye, tested for acidity with the dye and compared, then compared how well each cleaned, and we compared price. It made 3 nice comparability charts, was easy, and I had 3 bottles of cleaner to use afterwards.

Is there something wrong with what I posted? I found that page to be very helpful. She DID ask for websites and that link provides a whole bunch of them!

I think she kind of wants something her and the kids can do together that doesn't cost a fortune. Alot of the sites on that page just take you to other pages that charge to get detailed info.

Sorry if I offended you, there was no malice intended.

thanks everyone

Chickbong 007 do you have more details?? or a website we can look at for that project??

Not having much luck as you probably can see. I was hoping maybe to run into some teachers with experience in this area, maybe. I have googled, and searched but many of the experiements I find are costly or require and adult to do the majority of the work. I did find a project for my second grader, she is making a rainbow of density. She has already show with oil and water that some liquids are immixable now to show the different densitys of numerous liquids.
I am still looking for a good one for my 6th grader. She wants to make a game out of simple circuts but I do not have all the stuff needed and alot of it needs to be done by an adult to ensure its done properly and no kids get hurt when using it at the science fair....It is after all a school project.
