Hello friends!

I recently had a few babies brought to me and I'm not too sure what the gender or breeds are. So i figured i'd leave it to the pros :)

They look like they could be Easter Eggers or Ameraucana, and I agree with @BGcoop that the last black one, photo 6, looks male, the rest so far look like pullets to me.

ETA I'm not able to tell about combs on most of them, if Ameraucana they should have pea combs and the one that looks male appears to have a single comb, which can pop up in this breed.

Ameraucana should never have a single comb. I've never heard of an ameraucana with a single comb.

I agree though, the comb type will help determine what breed or hybrids these guys are. The white one looks like a silkie mix, with that dark skin and feathered legs. Maybe a grandparent was a silkie. How many toes does she have?

I also agree that F is probably a cockerel.

I agree with above, #6 is looking like a cockerel.
the white one does look like a silkie mix.
Unsure about the black and blue ones.. maybe Black and blue Australorp’s.. ?

Hey guys thanks for all the replies! I was able to get a hold of the fellow who dropped these off and there is some silkie in there! they are a mix of "Olive eggers, silkies and ameraucana" although, im not entirely sure what breed an "olive egger" would be!

the BYC community's knowledge and willingness to help out us newbies is always great to see. You guys rock, keep it up!! :D:D
