Hi All,

My cousin got in touch with me (the words "hey, you're the chicken 'nerd' of the family and use that one chicken site all the time don't you?" were used at one point during our conversation haha), she's looking for some pea chicks for her broody hen. Do any of you by chance know where there might be some or know of someone looking to sell or re-home some pea chick in the Elma, WA (Aberdeen, Shelton, and Olympia, WA areas are fine too) area?

Thanks for all your help in advance! :)

Caty

Are you looking for eggs or babies cause my broodies would not accept other chicks unless they happen to hatch some eggs at the same time i put new babies under them that night and my older chicks rarely take to a broody that was not their own mom.
I just wanted to throw that out there.
A good broody could hatch and raise up some peas if you time it right.

There are some folks on here selling eggs so you should find what she is looking for.

Tell your cousin to come join us here on the site.

Thanks so much!! I'll have to ask, I think she was just looking for chicks but you're right, most broodies won't sit unless they're eggs. I'll make sure to send her to the site and I've been trying to get her on BYC! haha!

Hello,
Have you looked at the thread titled "Please help!! My peahens are laying but sitting on eggs!!"?
That individual is in Longbranch, Washington and seems to have too many eggs...

Ok. Caty im a member now. Im the one looking for the peafowl babies. I have been pretty lucky at getting my hens to foster babies that they didnt hatch out. I have five babies i crammed under a hen 2 months ago and are all live and well with foster mom. If the broody hen dosent take them on i am set up for babies without mom too.
